Christmas, a slight change of plans and an invitation

It's Christmas and my quest for weight loss has taken a backseat this week. But not for the Reasons you might suppose.

I actually decided to stop all the supplements and shakes after reading through my PDR ( physician desk reference) for herbs. I had to start antibiotics this past week for those pesky headaches and green snot. I had a sinus infection and the surgeon said to get treatment if I could because the anesthesiologist wouldn't like if I had an upper respiratory infection.

So I decided to be a good girl and see if any of the herbs in the multiple isagenix products would cause interference with the antibiotics. Turns out yes. And also a few of them can increase bleeding time. So that is a big no no for surgery.

And while I know from working in healthcare that one must stop anticoagulant meds several days prior to the surgery, I am playing safe and letting the herbs get out of mine.

The hard part? Keeping calories down this week. I don't want to shoot back up. I lost only 2 more lbs this past week but that put me at a solid 12 lbs in 3 weeks.

Plus Christmas / holiday food is it the lowest calorie wise!

But I've been finding that I really don't want a lot of food. Nor do I want all the crap foods. The salads have tasted the best to me followed by the veggies. My body is craving good food. Yay!

So I plan to continue this quest after the surgery. My friend that is doing this with me is making great headway and people are starting to ask her what she is doing to lose the weight. She is happy and excited and it is inspiring me to keep at it as soon as I can!

I myself have been able to wear my fitted shirts again because I've lost the muffin top.

Energy for me has been up and down. But the sinus infection had more to do with that then anything else.

If anyone else would like to join me in the new year to lose a few pounds let me know. I can get you signed up and we can cheer each other on!

For now, peace and love on this Christmas evening!!
